Salem Home

At Salem Home, everything we do is guided by one thing -
our mission statement:

“To provide Christ-centred care embracing the values of compassion, dignity, excellence and faith.”

Our board of directors and staff passionately live out this mission in their day-to-day lives at Salem. In doing so, they make sure our values of compassion, dignity, excellence and faith are the four pillars of the foundation of our organization. Although they may seem very simple, these values enable us to provide the best possible care for our residents. To learn more about our values click here.

Our vision is that Salem Home will be recognized as an innovative leader in the delivery of long-term care. Many of our programs and services are recognized as some of the best in the industry. Check out what some of our staff, the residents and their family members are saying about life at Salem Home here.

Salem Home is accredited through Accreditation Canada.  This means we meet nationally developed organizational and care standards and are measured against other long term care facilities.  The Special Care Unit was recognized by Accreditation Canada as a Best Practise in the 2003 survey.

We are also required to meet the Personal Care Home Standards legislated by the Manitoba Government.  Standards visits are made by Manitoba Health every two years.

Some things to know about us:
