Where Community and Creativity Meet

Date: Friday, November 21, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Heritage Room, Salem Home – 165 15th Street, Winkler, MB

Are you a young creator, future entrepreneur, or just looking for something meaningful and fun to do this Christmas season?
Then come join us for our Create and Connect Christmas Craft Market at Salem Home, a cozy, intergenerational event where creativity meets compassion and the holiday spirit shines bright!

The Create and Connect Christmas Market isn’t just a place to shop, it’s a community celebration designed to bring residents, kids, families, and friends together in a joyful space filled with handmade crafts, festive treats, and heart.

Whether you’re a young artist eager to sell your handmade ornaments or a resident sharing your lovingly crocheted gifts, this market is all about connection, creativity, and kindness.

What Makes This Market Special

Salem Home believes in the power of connection, and at Christmastime, that matters more than ever.
Our market brings together young creators (aged 16 and under) and our Salem Home residents to share in creativity, compassion, and the spirit of giving. It’s a chance for kids to interact with older generations, spread joy, and make a difference.

All proceeds from resident crafts and vendor table reservations will go toward the Christmas Cheer Board, helping families in our community experience the warmth and joy of the holiday season.

When you take part, you’re not just selling your creations — you’re helping others feel cared for and seen.

Who Can Have a Booth?

Any child or youth aged 16 or under can sign up for a booth to sell their creations, such as:

  • Handmade Christmas ornaments or decorations

  • Paintings, sketches, or festive crafts

  • Bracelets, keychains, or handmade jewelry

  • Baked goods (see approved list below)

  • Cards, bookmarks, stickers, or magnets

  • Knitted items, candles, or holiday décor

  • Pretty much anything made with love and creativity!

Kids under 12 must have a guardian present, but this is still your booth — your business!

Can I Sell Food?

Yes — but there are a few health rules to follow. Foods must be low-risk and safe to make at home.

Okay to sell:

  • Muffins, cookies, cinnamon buns, brownies

  • Bread, fruit pies, fudge, popcorn

  • Jam, jelly, pickles (vinegar-based), honey, preserves

Not allowed:

  • Anything with cream or whipped toppings

  • Perogies, soups, meat or dairy products

  • Pumpkin pie, kombucha, garlic in oil

(A full list of approved foods will be included in your registration confirmation email.)

What Do I Need to Bring?

We’ll provide tables for all vendors, plus the advertising, electricity (if needed), water, bathrooms — and, of course, a little Christmas treat made by our residents!

You bring:

  • Your products or artwork

  • Change (float)

  • Bags or packaging for your customers

  • Smiles and Christmas cheer!
