Salem Home is looking for a 0.39 FTE Clinical Dietitian who is passionate about improving lives through nutrition, collaboration, and evidence-based care. You’ll work across acute care, long-term care, and community settings, helping patients, residents, and clients achieve better health outcomes through expert nutritional assessment, education, and intervention.
What You’ll Do
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will:
  • Deliver comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide education, counseling, and ongoing support to patients, residents, clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other professionals as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Participate in care conferences and contribute expert nutritional recommendations.
  • Support therapeutic, texture-modified, and specialized diets.
  • Contribute to menu development, recipe review, and regional nutrition standards.
  • Help advance best practices through quality improvement, policy development, staff education, and evidence-based care initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited Canadian program (or approved equivalent).
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or approved practicum.
  • Active registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
You Bring
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within healthcare teams.
  • A passion for patient-centered, culturally responsive care.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing, behavior-change counseling, and evidence-based nutrition practice.
Nice to Have
  • Membership with Dietitians of Canada.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba Long Term Care Standards.
  • Experience with Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN).
