Since 1998, the Foundation has been dedicated to raising funds to support the programs of Salem Home, from Pastoral Care and Palliative Care to the Volunteer Program, all in the spirit of compassion and Christ’s love.

The Foundation provides education assistance for staff, ensuring our caregivers can grow in their skills and bring even more excellence to resident care. It funds equipment rentals and purchases, giving residents access to specialized tools like wheelchairs, transfer belts, and cushions that enhance comfort and independence. And it supports transportation for outings and recreational programs, helping residents stay engaged with the community around them.
Right now, the Foundation is focused on a very special project: our new Handi-Van. This van will make it possible for residents to enjoy more outings, attend appointments, and participate in Therapeutic Recreation programs safely and comfortably. It’s more than just a vehicle—it’s a way to bring the world a little closer to those who live at Salem.
